The still-life presents a gorgeous image of abundance, represented by the luscious-looking grapes, and emphasized by the roundness of the apples. And so it is with the Moorcroft jug, pouring out burgundy-blue grapes reflecting the moment when each grape reaches full ripeness, against varying mellow hues of green-yellow vine leaves, apples and soft fleshed, and juicy Mirabelle de Nancy plums.
